  • How do I get set up on online banking?

    365 online

    For Sole Traders to get set up on 365 online:

    1. Call us on 0818 214 365 (ROI) / 0345 600 6552 (UK) to speak to the Activation Team. You will need your account number available
    2. Answer three simple security questions relating to you and your account to verify your identity
    3. Our agents will instruct you on how to set up your own unique PIN and will then give you your User ID
    4. You can then activate your account and start banking online straight away

    For Limited Companies and Joint/Partnerships to get set up on 365 online:

    Once the new mandate form is completed and updated:

  • How do I update my Business On Line details?

    To update your details on Business On Line, complete the General Amendment form. This form allows you to:

    • Add/ remove accounts listed on the profile
    • Add/remove credit cards listed on the profile
    • Update your address on Business Online profile
    • Change billing account (account where Business On Line fees are debited)

Make a change to my Business Account

  • How do I change the correspondence address on my Business Account?

    365 online

    The quickest way to change your correspondence address is by using online banking.

    1. Log into the Bank of Ireland Mobile App or 365 online
    2. Click ‘Services’
    3. Select ‘Change address’
    4. Input your new address and follow the steps to confirm the change

    The accounts listed on the change address screen are those you have already registered online using the Bank of Ireland Mobile App or 365 online.

    Business On Line

    If you are a Business On Line customer, you will need to send a separate instruction to update the address associated with Business On Line.

    Note: You can find your Business On Line customer number underneath the menu bar at the top of the screen after you have logged in to Business On Line.

    Not registered for 365 online?

    If you are not registered for 365 online, you can visit your local branch. Please bring the following with you:

    Instruction to change address on business letter headed paper including:

    • signatures of the authorised signatories in accordance with the account mandate
    • all the account numbers to be changed – current accounts, deposit accounts, and credit cards Please note that, if the registered office address of a company is being changed, a copy of Form B2 from the Companies Registration Office is required

  • How do I change signatories on my Business Account?

    To change the signatories on your business account, we’ll need the following information:

    For any new signatories, we’ll need photo ID and proof of address, along with a non-Personal Customer Identification form completed.

    Acceptable proof of identity includes:

    • Current Passport
    • Irish/UK drivers licence

    Acceptable proof of address includes:

    • Current utility bill (dated in the past 6 months): Mobile Phone Bill not acceptable
    • Current statement from credit or financial institution (dated in the past 6 months)
    • Revenue documents: Tax Credits, Balance Statements or Pin Verification letters (letter you received containing a temporary password used to log into Revenue.ie)

  • How do I change the name on my business account?

    If you have changed the name on your business account, including adding a ‘trading as’ name, the following information must be provided to your branch:

    • Completed Change Of Name form
    • A new mandate signed by all signatories and completed in the new name1
    • Certificate of Change of Name and/or registered trading name from Companies Registration Office.
    • Instruction on your letter head requesting change and new debit cards, cheque books and credit cards to be issued, if applicable.
    • Business On Line account amendment form – this is to be completed to update Business On Line, if applicable.

Statements and transactions on business accounts

  • How do I order a statement?

    365 online

    If you are a 365 online user, you can view, print, and save your online current account statements.

    1. Log in to your account on the Bank of Ireland Mobile App/desktop
    2. Tap an account to enter transactions screen.
    3. Select 'Statements'.
    4. Choose a statement to open or save to your device.

    You may also order an up-to-date current account statement using 365 online.

    1. Log in to your account on the Bank of Ireland Mobile App/desktop
    2. Tap 'Services'
    3. Select 'Manage Statements’
    4. Order an up-to-date statement.
    5. Your statement will be available online within 2 working days. If you receive paper statements by post for this account, you’ll receive your up-to-date statement in 5-7 working days.

    Not registered for 365 online?

    If you are not a 365 online customer or if you are a Business On Line customer please call our 365 online team to order statements:

  • How do I dispute a transaction on my account?

    Bank of Ireland can request a refund on your behalf to Visa or MasterCard using the charge back scheme.

    365 online

    If you are a 365 online user, you can submit the request on the Mobile app/desktop

    1. Log in to your account on the Bank of Ireland Mobile App/desktop
    2. Tap 'Services'
    3. Select 'More Services’
    4. Select ‘Transaction Dispute’
    5. Follow the steps to complete the form.

    Not registered for 365 online?

    If you are not a 365 online customer or if you are a Business On Line customer, submit the request by completing the Transaction Dispute Form.

    Supporting documentation will be required and are outlined on the form.

Standing Orders

  • How do I set up, amend, or cancel a standing order?

    365 online User

    365 online is the easiest way to set up, amend, or cancel a standing order.

    If setting up a new standing order (Max. amount on 365 online is €3,000):

    1. Log in to your account on the Bank of Ireland Mobile App/desktop
    2. Tap Payments
    3. Select ‘standing orders’
    4. Select ‘set up new standing order’
    5. Choose which current account you want the standing order to be paid from
    6. Enter the payee details, choosing the amount and frequency, and click continue

    It takes a minimum of 1 working day to set up your standing order once all required information is provided and will only show on 365 online once the first successful payment is taken.

    If amending or cancelling a standing order:

    1. Log in to your account on the Bank of Ireland Mobile App/desktop
    2. Tap Payments
    3. Select ‘standing orders’
    4. Select the relevant account
    5. Click cancel standing order to cancel your standing order or click manage to amend your standing order.
    6. When amending your standing order you can change the amount or put the standing order on hold

    Not registered for 365 online?

    If you are not a 365 online customer or if you are a Business On Line customer, you can set up, amend or cancel a standing order by filling out the relevant form and submitting it online or posting it to the address on the form. (recipient's IBAN needed).

Direct Debits

  • How do I cancel or get a refund of a direct debit?

    365 online

    If you are a 365 online user, you can view and cancel a SEPA direct debit online. Any refund of a SEPA direct debit must be returned by post.

    You can find direct debits on your accounts by following the steps below:

    1. Log in to your account on the Bank of Ireland Mobile App/desktop
    2. Tap the account that the direct debit was paid from to enter transactions screen.
    3. Under Transactions, click the Direct Debit you want to cancel
    4. Double check that it is the correct direct debit, and click cancel
    5. Follow the steps requested to confirm cancellation

    You can identify SEPA Direct Debits as ending in '…SEPA DD' and view more details by clicking the transaction.

    Not registered for 365 online?

    You can also cancel a direct debit online here. (You will need the Unique Mandate Reference (UMR) and the Creditor ID of the recipient. You can find it by contacting your Creditor directly).

    Direct Debit Refund

    To get a direct debit refunded, you can download the refund direct debit payments form and post it to the address on the form. For more information on your rights under SEPA, please see our SEPA Direct Debit Services.

  • How do I order a chequebook?

    Call our Business Advisor Services Team to order a chequebook:

    If this is the first time ordering a cheque book, you must first complete and return the appropriate form below to ensure we have the correct signatories on record.

  • How do I put a stop on a cheque?

    You can cancel a cheque with an advisor over the phone. If the chequebook is in your possession please ensure you have this with you on the call. We may need to ask you for:

    • Cheque numbers
    • Amount
    • Payable to
    • Date written

  • How do I close my Business current account?

    To close your business account simply:

    Before closing your account, we will contact the signatories on the account mandate to check their identities and that they requested the closure.
