For a limited period, eligible farmers can apply for a working capital loan at a discounted variable interest rate of 4.88%*.

How the Loan Can Help

You can use the loan to support your farm’s working capital needs, including:

  • Feed purchases
  • Fertiliser and seed costs
  • Fuel and machinery running costs
  • Other farm input expenses
  • Payment of outstanding merchant, co-op or trade creditor balances

Who can apply?:

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be aged 18 or over
  • Be a farmer or primary agricultural producer based in the Republic of Ireland
  • Meet Bank of Ireland lending criteria
  • Apply online, or contact your relationship manager or local branch

Representative Example:

A farm loan of €30,000 at a variable rate of 4.88% over a 24-month term will require 24 monthly payments of €1,314.27. The cost of credit is €1,542.48. The total amount repayable is €31,542.48.
*The discounted variable interest rate of 4.88% is a discount of 2.14% off our standard variable rate. Lending criteria, terms and conditions and security requirements apply. Applications are subject to approval. Rates are correct as at 21 September 2026.
Applicants may be asked to demonstrate a working capital need arising from farm cashflow pressures, including weather-related challenges, increased costs or reduced income.
